Transformation Possible

These are my standards,

These strengths of my coaching set it above other online coaching options. There are the six main components that support my ability to be the best coach for you.

Click a link above or scroll to see all details of each Pillar.

Expect top level coaching focused on your health over everything else. It’s just you and I working together, so we both have your best interests at heart. I care about getting results for you, with a balance between safety and effectiveness.

ALL THESE

  • Texture over polish. Keeping it real. You get the real me, not some ‘optimized’ persona. Not perfect and not pretending.

  • One on one. Just you and me--no team. No crew, staff, or handlers.

  • You’re more important than me — your results matter most. I don’t want the attention of a guru or champion of fitness.

  • I’m here to help you with your own best health. Everything I say and recommend, I do.

NOT THESE

  • No Ads. No sponsorships. No promoted posts or boosted BS. No filters on pictures. No stock images. No ‘clickbait’ titles.

  • No hard sales, pain points, trickery, advertising click-funnels, search engine optimization, or email autoresponder sequences.

  • No statistics. No analytics. No user data. I’ve accepted that this site won’t rank in Google and won’t show optimally in social media. That’s fine. Content is king.

Pillar1_S.png

The first pillar of TPOHC is the initial assessment. With all personal health & fitness coaching, it’s critical to start with an assessment. The assessment is important to determine your starting point and to screen for issues.

If your goal is where you want to go, then the assessment is how we determine where you’re starting from. Once I know your starting point and your goal, I can develop an individualized program tailored specifically to you. Working as a coach since 2007, I've developed an incredibly thorough assessment system for my new clients.

For online coaching, the assessment matters even more; as I won’t be with you in-person. When I created Transformation Possible Online Health Coaching, I decided to make the best Assessment I could. I started with my in-person assessment then I thought to make it even better than in-person. Faster and with more involved. Everything I think of for my own health & fitness work, but in a even easier for you to submit a response.

Over 250 questions!

There’s a LOT of questions in the TPOHC Initial Assessment but it’s worth it. I assess your physical abilities and limitations, as well as social support, readiness to change, kitchen 'health.' I also ask questions about the equipment/facilities you have access to tailor-fit your plan.

None of these questions are useless 'fluff. — every question is included for a reason, and every response is valued.

With this thorough Assessment, I will know the details of your health history, fitness ability & level, goals, and challenges. With that info I can create a safe, effective, and time-efficient individualized training program for you.

Details of the Initial Assessment

I use Google Forms to make it easy for you to submit your responses. And I provide a Welcome Guide with thorough instructions for your submission.

1. Equipment Available Form

I'll be asking you what fitness training equipment, gadgets, and tools you have access to. Pictures all along to make it easy. This form only takes minutes.

2. Digital Physical Assessment form

This portion of the Initial Assessment consists of pictures, measurements, and exercise capacity tests. This is how we determine your starting point.

Pictures allow me to screen for imbalances and to check posture; and may be your 'before' pictures. Next, there are body measurements. We will do body weight, body fat percentage, and/or tape measurements. Take as many or as few of these as you like, but I encourage you to do them all. Every client gets individualized tracking recommendations.

Finally, there are Exercise Capacity Tests. We will choose several tests from five movement categories and record the stats. There are bodyweight movement testing and cardiovascular tests, as well as a baseline workout. Also, strength lifts for advanced trainees. I highly recommend you complete the Baseline workout, but it's okay to skip the strength testing.

3. Intake Form

The final step in the Initial Assessment is the Intake Form. This form is a comprehensive form that will ask many questions related to your health & fitness, habits, lifestyle, and routines. This form is lengthy, but remember, these are crucial steps for creating the best program for you and you only have to do this once at the start of your coaching with me.

After you complete the Intake form, your responses will be complied into a tidy package for me to form the base of your program. I’m serious about EVERY question! The new client packet is over 15 pages and has all your responses formatted for maximum coaching effectiveness. If you can’t tell, I’m fiercely proud of this Initial Assessment. This is how I do a great job for you and it feels extra good knowing I built this entire process myself!

The second pillar of TPOHC is the quality of the resources I provide to my clients. I have been coaching since 2007 so I have built up a tremendous library of useful health & fitness info. Over the years I have refined and improved these resources and my coaching methods. This knowledge gives you a distinct advantage for achieving your health & fitness goals.

Health & Fitness Resources

Nutrition Resources

I have also created dozens of nutrition resources, just like the health & fitness resources above. Every client I coached got a slightly improved version of each of these as I refined the content and delivery over and over throughout my career.

That means you’re getting the “tip of the spear” of my coaching. That pumps me up!

Extensive Media Library

In addition to the text and infographic resources, I also have tons of picture and video exercise demonstration media. Clear and easy-to-see visuals makes all my resources and coaching more accessible to you.

Concise exercise demonstration videos showing proper exercise techniques for common exercises to keep you safe while working effectively — created for your instruction, rather than “showing off” how much I know, these videos are short so they always load fast and don’t distract during your workout.

Extras and Bonuses

Finally, I have EVEN MORE resources to support your health & fitness efforts. Whatever it may be that I need to teach you, I’ve collected the resources to make it easy for you to learn. That’s the ‘education’ portion of coaching.

Here’s an example of some simple high-viz anatomy resources I created. These aren’t meant to make you go through a college curriculum of Anatomy & Physiology info. These are meant to make it quick and easy for you to get the most out of our work together.

P.S. I bet no other trainer will provide you with anything close to this!

The third pillar of TPOHC is the individuality of the coaching. When I work with a client, I’m drawing from all my health & fitness knowledge to apply the right info to them. The recommendations I provide are based on the clients specific circumstances.

This isn’t just copy-paste from templates. Or trying to crowd out everyone except for “Ideal Client Avatar” so I can pipeline everyone into a funnel. I ask all the questions in the Initial Assessment so that I can know what coaching to provide. I do this drawing from the knowledge I’ve gained from education & experience.

After the Initial Assessment, I'll create an individualized plan for you. I will help you with exercise and nutrition guidance to make sure you get the most out of your training and see quick results safely. I'll teach you exactly what you need to do --- or NOT to do --- to help you achieve your goals.

You will have exclusive access to your training plan and you'll always have the opportunity to ask additional questions. All Training Programs include organized workouts with detailed instructions and demonstrations. You find exercise substitutions so you can increase or decrease difficulty with the equipment or ability you have.

The fourth pillar of TPOHC is my top level coaching. I’ve been a health & fitness coach since 2007 and I’m highly certified. On top of the knowledge, I have real-world experience working with clients 1-on-1 and in groups.

You can see all the details of my certifications on the About Me page, but pay the most attention to these two. These are the certifications that matter most for TPOHC coaching.

NSCA-CSCS

National Strength and Conditioning Association - Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist

This certification is top-tier standard for health & fitness professionals in all levels of sport & athletics. Applicants need a college degree to be eligible to take the exam, and still it have a low pass rate.

Online-training-academy-certified-trainer.jpeg

OTA-L1

Online Training Academy Level One Trainer

This certification is all about providing online health & fitness coaching. Just knowing the health & fitness knowledge is not enough for a coach to be successful. He or she also needs to know how to transfer that info to the clients. The OTA-L1 is a great program to improve online coaching.

How I provide coaching

The modern in-person fitness training session is a little miracle. It's a frantically compressed session of teaching, nutrition and lifestyle counseling, strength work, anatomy lessons, metabolic conditioning, and mobility work. Most of my clients need more than just the 1-4 hours they’re working out with me each week.

TPOHC clients get my coaching, accountability, training programs, and support all week long. We can work together on every single aspect of getting your results. Most coaching will be delivered by email or text, with either direct files or links. I’ll send training and nutrition information on Google Docs and PDFs. Exercise demonstration videos are available on YouTube, and workout routines are delivered via my smartphone app.

Check out Pillar 02 for more about all the resources I have to support my coaching.

1-on-1 Calls

I offer one-on-one coaching calls (phone or video) with my clients. Zoom or FaceTime or Google. Each week, all clients maintain a connection with me and can send me as many questions as they want. Accountability Bonus and Supported Transformation coaching package clients can schedule more frequent video/audio calls with me for more supportive discussions. Supported Transformation clients receive additional resources & priority support.

Exercise Technique Video Analysis

I offer exercise technique video analysis to ensure you have good technique even though I am not there in-person with you. I use an app that allows me to ‘mark up’ and review any video clip you submit to me. So record a short video of a few reps and send it to me; then I will check your technique while recording VoiceOver & mark up as I watch your clip. You can see more about video analysis in Pillar 05.

1-on-1 Zoom Training

One of the online health & fitness coaching components I am most proud of! My main in-person fitness facility was shut down in because of COVID-19 so I invested in a home workout & live-streaming studio. It’s well equipped with loads of equipment for variety, but more importantly, I set it up for optimal online health & fitness coaching.

We’ve all suffered on a Zoom call with bad lighting, a low quality camera, or poor a connection You’ll find none of that here! In my home studio I have a beautiful hand-painted wall for easy visibility and upgrades on the camera, lights, and data connection speed.

In addition to that tech, I also have multiple big-screen displays so that I can see you when we work together, and I can make sure it’s easy for you to see me.

Facebook Group

All TPOHC clients are invited to my personal closed Facebook group. This is where you are guaranteed to connect with other like-minded health & fitness individuals and ensure you see any new content, announcements, or resources I share with clients.

Group Coaching Calls

Coming soon: Group coaching calls. Similar to ‘office hours’ your professors had in college, these group coaching calls will be times when I’m available to answer any and all questions LIVE for you and whoever else (other clients) is in attendance.

The fifth pillar of TPOHC is the technology and applications that support the coaching. This is how I deliver all the great resources, advice, and support to the clients. These tools make it possible for online health & fitness coaching to be better than ever! In many ways, online health & fitness coaching exceeds in-person training, especially in a COVID world.

My Smartphone App

All training programs are available on my mobile application. With the app, you can see your training program with exercise demonstration videos and stat tracking. The app works on iOs and Android, and you can view it on your desktop/laptop. When I set up your training plan, you’ll receive an invitation message to download the app.

On the app, you’ll be able to see your training plan, workout guides, exercise demonstration videos, and extensive stat/result tracking for workouts and body measurements. You and I work together using the app to communicate. So I can adjust your workouts, and you can track your stats and leave notes for me.

Exercise Technique Video Analysis

One great way for me to support clients is by providing feedback on their movement techniques. I can do this with videos you record of yourself and share it with me. The app allows me to play your video while putting annotations on the screen and recording voice-over. Then I can play forward, backwards, frame-by-frame, and in slow-motion.

This allows me to show you what I watch as a coach. Look where I’m looking and see what I see.

This is the most effective way to provide meaningful feedback to you so you can make rapid improvements. Best part is that you aren’t limited to just the time you have with me in-person — you can watch and rewatch your video feedback as many times as you need. Also, we can easy compare movements side-by-side to review progress & development.

Other Apps

In addition to the technology and apps listed above, my entire business is run in a high-efficiency manner, so you can expect I will continue to add applications and digital tools to improve my coaching services. Look forward to those updates!

The sixth pillar of TPOHC is the dedicated accountability I created with cohort of clients.

Accountability delivers consistent and sustained success.

Accountability is an assurance that your fitness coach is accountable for your success – success that is sustainable over a long period of time. Depending on the program, TPOHC brings to you weekly email support, monthly, weekly, and even daily accountability zoom calls. For someone who wants to know what to do, be sure they are doing it correctly, and ensure they have help doing it consistently.

Additionally, all these accountability interactions help you not to lose track of your long-term fitness goal, and help you set goals for smaller wins that will stick. It will enable you to choose enjoyable forms of exercises with positive guidance and support. You can even opt for unlimited goal guidance, workout scheduling support, problem solving and program adjustments. My Smartphone App

Lifetime Accountability & Support

By lifetime accountability, TPOHC framework enables the fitness coach to provide health related assistance after the expiry of an active membership. Once a client has gone through the TPOHC Assessment process, all the data and their analysis, along with the client’s fitness stats are stored in a secure, accessible cloud-based application system. This data enables TPOHC to be the ‘fitness professional in your corner’.

We can provide all our clients with quick advice and answers about a nagging pain, fitness product recommendations etc. throughout their lives. Most likely I already have an answer to their question or a resource for them already.

This is something I have not seen any other coach ever do. And it’s only possible because of the first pillar of TPOHC – Initial Assessment, and the second pillar – the amount of information I have.
